Description
The p40 monoclonal antibody targets an epitope unique to the ΔNp63 isoform of the p63 protein, offering improved specificity for squamous cell carcinomas. Unlike traditional p63 antibodies that may cross-react with other isoforms, p40 helps distinguish squamous differentiation with greater precision. This antibody is valuable in the diagnostic evaluation of lung, head and neck, bladder, and other epithelial tumors where squamous differentiation is suspected. It typically shows strong nuclear staining in squamous epithelium, while reactivity in non-squamous tissues is limited, enhancing diagnostic confidence.
